Hi everyone,

I am Freddie Wallang, an Architect and Entrepreneur with a deep passion for innovative and sustainable design solutions. Over the past three decades, I have had the privilege of leading FAWS Design, a firm I founded in the 1990s in the heart of Northeast India. Our firm has its roots in Meghalaya and has become well-established in the region, delivering a diverse range of architectural consultancy services across sectors such as education, healthcare, wildlife, and residential architecture.

Beyond our core architectural services, FAWS Design has expanded its expertise into multiple verticals, including turnkey solutions that encompass civil and interior works, landscaping, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems. 

We also offer consultancy and planning in transportation engineering, covering essential services like power and water distribution, and we are actively involved in skill development and training initiatives.

My entrepreneurial journey extends beyond architecture into hospitality, event management, and health and wellness. This journey is embodied in our venture, Pine Tree Events, a joint venture with Adventure X Fusion Tribe and Event Networks. Pine Tree Events has organized and managed a wide array of events across India, from motorsports to festivals and product launches. Notable events include the Escape Festival of Arts and Music (2011-2015), the India Vision Mandala Festival (2023), and the Rally of Arunachal Pradesh (ongoing since 2011).

Our multidisciplinary approach at FAWS Design has allowed us to blend architecture with broader ventures in hospitality and wellness, curating experiences that enrich the cultural landscape of the region. 

We’ve been deeply involved in organizing workshops, conferences, trade exhibitions, installations, spatial design, scenography, art fairs, and festivals.

As I look to embark on new and exciting challenges, I'm eager to collaborate on projects that merge sustainability with creativity, spanning design, wellness, and beyond. I am also keen to connect with budding architects and fellow entrepreneurs who share a passion for making a lasting impact.
