Longest serving Director of IIM Kozhikode in June 2023 for a third term of five years appointed by an independent Board of Governors. Led IIM Kozhikode to be rated among top 3 B-schools in NIRF India ranking and accredited globally by EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA and feature among top 75 in Financial Times and also included in global QS Rankings.

Appointed as the Mentor Director of IIM Amritsar. Served India’s first corporate sponsored business school IMI, Delhi as Director General and Distinguished Professor. Taught leadership classes at Harvard University and at Indian Institute of Management(IIM) Calcutta, Lucknow, and Kozhikode for over two decades. Was Dean of SP Jain School of Global Management in Singapore.

Have been awarded the prestigious Fulbright Fellowship twice for Pre-Doctoral and Post-Doctoral work at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Trained more than 1,00,000 managers globally in Fortune 100 Corporations and over fifty thousand school principals and teachers.

Authored 17 books translated into multiple international languages. Was responsible for gender diversity initiative with 53% women in the flagship MBA programme in 2013. Initiated first Liberal Studies in MBA programme in India. Crafted a vision for 2047 for IIMK in the year 2013 and for the Ministry of Education, Government of India in 2022.
