As a group, Star group began with its first company, Star Chartering, which was founded in 1989 by Mr. N N Rai, one of the most respected and oldest members of the shipping community in New Delhi, India. Historically, the company has been involved in dry bulk shipping for more than three decades.
Currently, the group is led by Mr. Nimitt Rai Tiwari, who is the third generation of this shipping family. According to him, ''Shipping is in his blood''. Graduated from the UK with a degree in Maritime who believes in the significance of preserving relationships and providing exceptional service.
