Burkar Dechen Dolkar is an internationally trained hair artist, educator, entrepreneur, and the Founder & Creative Director of DECHEN Salon, based in Majnu Ka Tilla, Delhi. With over 15 years of experience in the beauty industry, she is widely recognized for her expertise in hair extensions, balayage, hairstyling, hair transformations, and salon education.

Burkar Dechen began her journey at a very young age while pursuing her college studies. Starting as an educator and professional trainer, she collaborated with various international beauty and hair brands while educating salon professionals across India. Through workshops, advanced international brand education, consultation programs, and salon professionalism training, she built a strong reputation in the beauty industry as a passionate mentor and creative artist.

At a young age, Burkar Dechen worked with celebrities, fashion show personalities, film projects, and editorial campaigns through her skills in hairstyling, makeup artistry, hair extensions, and brand promotion. Her artistic vision and strong communication skills helped her establish herself not only as a stylist but also as a beauty industry influencer and educator.

She has also contributed to Research & Development (R&D) for hair brands and professional hair products while serving in multiple leadership roles including Brand Ambassador, Educator, Business Development Manager, and Brand Promoter for reputed salon and beauty companies.

Her professional journey includes working with renowned salon brands such as TONI&GUY India, Looks Salon, and Streamline India, where she played important roles in education, branding, promotions, and business development. She was also featured on television platforms including Zoom TV and Star Plus and received recognition for her contributions as an educator and beauty industry professional.

Burkar Dechen started DECHEN Salon in Majnu Ka Tilla from absolute zero, with a vision not only to build a successful salon brand but also to uplift and empower her community. Over the past four years in Majnu Ka Tilla, she has built DECHEN Salon into more than just a business — it has become a platform for empowerment, education, creativity, and community development.

DECHEN Salon has been recognized among the most creative salons and has participated in various national and international hair, beauty, and fashion shows, showcasing innovative hair artistry, transformations, styling techniques, and modern salon creativity. Through these platforms, Burkar Dechen continues to represent modern Tibetan entrepreneurship and artistic excellence in the beauty industry.

Apart from running her salon with professionalism, ethics, and creativity, she has actively participated in various community services including school counseling sessions focused on education, skill development, personality development, self-confidence, grooming, and career awareness for young students and youth. Through workshops and awareness programs, she continues to inspire the younger generation to become financially independent, confident, and skilled professionals.

Despite facing criticism, personal struggles, and harassment during her journey in Majnu Ka Tilla, she remained committed to her vision and continued building her brand with resilience, courage, and dedication.
