I’m Chetan Ganatra, a proud Kolkata native born on July 17th, 1987, with a deep-rooted entrepreneurial background. Growing up in a family entrenched in the tobacco industry, I followed a traditional academic path, completing my schooling at Apeejay School and further studies at Indira College and ISB&M Pune. However, a life-changing event in 2021—contracting COVID-19 and suffering a heart attack—set me on a new course, sparking a passion for health-conscious living and nourishment.

At 37, I co-founded TheplaCo with my sister, brother-in-law, and a close friend. What started as a vision to offer healthy meals evolved into a full-scale restaurant business offering over 150 dishes. At TheplaCo, we prioritize fresh, high-quality ingredients, exceptional hygiene, and a commitment to serving food that is both delicious and nutritious. Our menu blends the iconic flavors of Gujarat with the beloved tastes of Kolkata, offering unique dishes like the healthy theplas and vibrant chaat.

Balancing family life with the demands of entrepreneurship has been challenging, but my wife, Forum Tanna, a talented software engineer, has been an unwavering pillar of support. Together, our mission remains clear: to provide healthy, fresh, and nourishing food that not only satisfies the body but also nurtures the soul.
